Kidd first gained
international recognition for his songwriting skills in 1979 when he
received honors from the American Song Festival for his controversial
tune - 'Sundance and the Kidd'. He was then sent to Nashville
where he met with Bob Witt (Arc Records). Mr Witt was impressed with
Kidds' record and introduced Kidd to Charlie Daniels publisher Jody
Williams. Before any deal could take place, Kidd was involved in a car
wreck on Music Row and was forced into
retirement.

Now David M. Kidd is
Back!
Kidd is armed
with three brand new CD's (already causing his trademark
controversy). Ghost of Liza Brown , Kidds
From The Hard Knoxx School, and Sundance and the Kidd.
When
Kidd came out of retirement he formed The Southwest Songwriters
Association. A FREE organization where songwriters, musicians,
and music lovers can network.
Kidd says, "For twenty years I
sat back and watched folks from the southwest leave everything they had
and move to Nashville, L.A., or NewYork to be near an organized music
scene. Now the SouthWest Song Writers Association is organizing a 'MUSIC
FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH' on an international level. WE ARE NO LONGER
ASKING FOR OUR MUSIC TO BE HEARD! WE WILL BE HEARD! SONGWRITERS, RIDE
TOWARDS THE SOUND OF THE BATTLE! TOWARDS THE SOUND OF THE SOUTHWEST
SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION MUSIC REVOLUTION! I AM GROWING OLD BUT I AM NOT
AFRAID!"
